Stephanie Canale, M.D.

Stephanie Canale, M.D.

Stephanie earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from McGill University. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at UCLA, and then was a part of the teaching faculty at the UCLA Family Health Center before joining UCLA Santa Monica in 2010. She is a also a member of the American Board of Family Medicine.

As a mother of two, she has a profound passion for helping families. Dr. Canale is a tireless advocate for moms and babies, on a constant quest to develop tools and support for families of all backgrounds and income levels.

Team

Nandita Shetty, BE, MS

Nandita Shetty, BE, MS

A neuro-imaging researcher turned entrepreneur, Nandita Shetty has experience across academia, industry, start-ups and the social sector. Nandita started her career as a software developer at Philips Medical Systems, went on to become a brain scientist and has most recently been focusing on the commercialization of medical innovations and working in the maternal-infant health space. She has worked in the field of Traumatic Brain Injury at UT SouthWestern Medical Centre and Autism Spectrum Disorders at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. She has held operational and management executive roles at a biotech start-up that was founded based on a research discovery at Harvard and also has experience in social impact and entrepreneurship. Her last start-up was in the neuro-developmental disorders diagnostics space.

She was awarded a fellowship at the Stanford Graduate School of Business’ Ignite program on 'Innovation and Entrepreneurship', holds a Master's degree in BioMedical Engineering from UT SouthWestern Medical Center and a Bachelor Of Engineering degree in Medical Electronics from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.


Chong Hyun (Paul) Chang, Ph.D.

Chong Hyun (Paul) Chang, Ph.D.

Paul is a research scientist and expert in toxicology. He currently serves as the Nanomaterial Core Manager at UCLA's UC Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology. He received his PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from UC Riverside in 2011.
